Community continues to be at the heart of what I do. I'm very lucky to be part of a lovely group of passionate and strong people who teach and volunteer for the Pendennis Community Centre, all the while trying to raise funds to see our town swimming pool come back to life. At Embrace Dance Fitness in Penryn, we are supported by a fantastic community of enthusiastic participants who love to move. My seated fitness classes at the Dracaena Centre and Age UK bring me closer to yet another side of my community, where we learn from one another about how to maintain function and flexibility with our bodies as we age or as injury may alter our mobility, and we sing and laugh throughout. Teaching in local villages, such as Mylor Bridge and Constantine, gives me a great sense of appreciation for the unique personalities of our smaller Cornish enclaves and I'm happy to bring a bit of my own fitness flavour to these areas.
